Nathan Schauerte

President & CEO

Nathan Schauerte has a long history working from the ground up with WesTower, having originally started in the field in 1999 before joining head office as the company’s Corporate Controller while pursuing his education in Business Management. In 2007, Nathan left WesTower for additional opportunities including financial operations and building organizations both in Canada and overseas in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates from M&A expansion planning through to integration strategies for new acquisitions. He returned to WesTower in 2016 as Senior Executive Vice President of Business Strategy and Development before transitioning to his current role as President & CEO in 2017. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge majoring in Accounting and Finance and completed an executive program through the University of California’s Anderson School of Management.

Raymond Poon, CPA, CGA

Chief Financial Officer

Raymond Poon has over 15 years of experience in operational finance and project controls in Engineering, Oil & Gas, and Construction markets. Prior to joining WesTower, Raymond held senior finance positions for a number of publicly-traded, government, and private equity organizations and most recently held the position of Head of Finance/Director of Finance at a national level in Canada. Raymond is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA – CGA) and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical and Computing Science from the University of Alberta and a Business Diploma in Accounting from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Ahmad Shala, P.Eng.

EVP Operational

Excellence

As an Operations Excellence Leader with a 15-year track record of project delivery and construction management with civil construction firms, utility providers, and municipalities, Ahmad Shala is focused on delivering multi-billion-dollar projects on time while ensuring that the client expectations are being met and at the forefront. Ahmad is always taking steps to develop solid client relationships, ensure transparency, and have open communication as key values to a successful project.  His care of people, the client, and stakeholders ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget while achieving the highest level of quality. Ahmad is a designated Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Darren Mann, C.Tech.

EVP Operations, West

Responsible for Western Wireless Operations, Darren Mann comes to WesTower with over 25 years of industry experience in network deployment in Canada and abroad. Darren holds a Certified Technician designation with the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta, and is a designated Project Management Professional.

Alain Stafford

EVP Operations, East

Alain Stafford has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, maintenance, real estate, and telecommunications network deployments across Canada with major service providers and national construction and implementation services companies. He has developed a unique vision of wireless network deployment with an end-to-end perspective aligned to meet clients’ challenges and expectations. Alain is responsible for wireless operations in the Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic markets, and developing WesTower’s growth strategy for new services and new solutions for WesTower clients.

Leon Leroux

EVP Network Development

A leader in the telecommunications industry for over 25 years, Leon Leroux brings a wealth of knowledge in complex infrastructure projects and national network development to WesTower. Leon was most recently a senior leader for a national telecommunications carrier, accountable for the deployment of their network across Canada. Prior to that role, he also was responsible for developing the infrastructure services division of a leading North American construction firm, and building all infrastructure projects for the deployment of a national telecommunications carrier’s wireless network across western Canada. Leon holds a certification in Executive Leadership from Simon Fraser University.
